Milk Carton Boat Derby

One of the charities that CHARTER CAPITAL supports is Child Abuse Prevention Arizona . One of the fundraising events is the annual Milk Carton Boat Derby. The object is to build a boat using empty milk cartons for floation.

This is where we ran into some problems. As Chelsea, Kris, Peter and Greg were getting on the boat, it flipped over and they were dumped into the Tempe Town Lake. We managed to turn the boat over and finish the race even though we were soaking wet! We had a lot of fun and the event raised over $50,000 for fighting child abuse in Arizona.




We were determined to turn the SS CHARTER CAPITAL into a pirate ship and throw water balloons at the other boats, so we flipped it back over and Greg and Kris finished the race.
